STEFAN ENSLIN
Stefan Enslin is an award-winning and renowned filmmaker, screenwriter, director and author. His first novel ‘Verskietende Ster‘ was published in 2013, and within months it reached top-seller status. In 2015, the film version, for which Stefan wrote the screenplay and produced, won the Audience Favourite award at the prestigious Silwerskermfees.
He then published his second novel ‘Tweede Kanse‘ in 2018. He is known for films such as ‘Strikdas‘, ‘Nul Is Nie Niks Nie‘, ‘Liewe Kersfeesvader‘ and ‘Klein Karoo‘, and he was one of the writers on the soap opera ‘Getroud Met Rugby‘. In 2022, the kykNET Storiefilm he wrote and directed, ‘Op Soek na Reënboë‘, was released.
He also worked as a line producer on an Emmy-winning documentary. Stefan is the writer, producer and director of the following full-length documentaries: ‘Against All Odds: The Alwyn Uys Story‘, ‘Unstoppable: The Rebecca Nagel Story‘, and ‘War Dogs and I‘.
His films are shown on M-Net, kykNET, Showmax, CNN, and a variety of international film festivals and platforms. He and his family live in Cape Town.
